2017 ABE Volunteer Management Conference Concurrent Sessions - By Wendy Roberts, Volunteer Outreach Manager


It’s time to register for the ABE Volunteer Management Conference (VMC), scheduled for Wednesday, September 27! This conference is unique because it is tailored specifically for adult literacy professionals who work with volunteers. There will be twelve exciting concurrent sessions, a lunchtime session with leaders in the field, and the presentation of the Award for Excellence in Volunteer Engagement. At the VMC, participants will get practical resources they can use right away, learn new strategies, share their professional wisdom with colleagues and earn six CEUs.

The Award for Excellence in Volunteer Engagement is an additional conference highlight. This award honors an ABE professional who demonstrates vision, diligence, and commitment to integrating volunteers into their ABE program.
