ATLAS is happy to announce that the new online course, CCRS Foundations: An Introduction to the College & Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education, is now available!
This CCRS course was developed by CCRS Implementation team member Janet Sparks, a teacher at the Hubbs Center in St. Paul. Each unit has an informative video, interactive activities, and resources to deepen your understanding and application of the College and Career Readiness Standards.
The new online CCRS course is a convenient way to gain basic understanding of this important set of state standards and the associated instructional shifts. You can choose to explore both English Language (ELA) Arts AND Math, or just one of these content areas. This foundational training covers the same material as was offered at the 2015 Summer Institute Pre-conference (and will be repeated in 2016), and the all-day CCRS training at the Language & Literacy Institute in January (for ELA).
|Reminder: the CCRS Foundations training (either online or in-person) is required for those planning to participate in the 2016-2017 CCRS Implementation Cohort.|
Consider taking the course as a team to engage in important program-specific conversations around standards-based education and how to implement the CCRS in your classrooms!
To access the course, go to the MLC online training site and either log in (if you have an account) or create a new account (if you're new to the MLC Moodle courses). It's FREE!
We hope you'll take advantage of this excellent new online learning experience!
