If your new-school-year resolution is to learn more about distance learning or digital literacy, increase student hours and outcomes, or grow your DL programming, there is a professional development opportunity that is just right for you!
The Distance Learning (DL) Supplemental Services grant offers several professional development opportunities for professionals in different roles and at different levels.
- DL 101 is a year-long course designed for teachers and administrators who are not yet experts in distance learning. Participants who finish the course will earn CEUs and programs will receive a stipend to help with developing distance learning programming. Applications for DL 101 are due by September 15.
- DL 102 is a study group for instructors and managers who are more experienced with distance learning. It is available to graduates of DL 101 (or to staff who have completed DL Basics and who have already planned and implemented a DL site plan). Participants who finish the course will earn CEUs and programs will receive a stipend to help with further development of distance learning programming at their site. Applications for DL 102 are due by September 15.
- DL Basics is a self-paced, online course that is required for all managers, teachers, and support staff delivering distance learning in Minnesota. CEUs are available upon completion. It is available here.
- Digital Literacy Integration in the ABE Classroom is a self-paced, online course that provides a framework for integrating digital literacy into the ABE classroom. CEUs are available upon completion. It is available here.
More information about these opportunities and other DL-related topics, as well as applications, can be found at the MN ABE Distance Learning website.
