Submit that Awesome MELEd Proposal by June 2!

The 4th Annual Minnesota English Learner Education (MELEd) Conference will be held October 26-8, 2017, at the The Doubletree by Hilton in Bloomington, MN. Please print this handy copy of the Save the Date to share with colleagues.

The Minnesota English Learner Education Conference is a partnership between MinneTESOL and the Minnesota Department of Education.  It is a merger of the annual MinneTESOL Fall Conference and the Minnesota ESL, Bilingual, and Migrant Education Conference.

Present and Save!

Interested in presenting? Session proposals are due June 2! Apply using our online proposal form. We’d love to see lots of new presenters join our conference this year, so MinneTESOL will be offering conference fee reimbursement to all first-time presenters at MELEd! We’ll also continue to reimburse conference fees for those who volunteer to work a 2- or 3-hour shift at the conference in certain roles. More info on these options soon!

Call for Proposals

Our Call for Proposals is available on our website; all the necessary information about presentation options as well as proposal deadlines and submission guidelines can be found there.

We are seeking proposals for concurrent breakout sessions on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28.

Interested in presenting but in need of some guidance as to your topic or how to shape your presentation? We facilitate MELEd mentorships, in which seasoned providers of professional development offer advice as needed to newer presenters. Please feel free to select this as an option when you submit your proposal and we’ll be in touch about matching you with a mentor!

Award Nominations Open through May 26!
