Access Curriculum: You can see the learning plan at mndemo.learnerweb.org. Follow the instructions on the Demo site for getting a free account. To register students to use the Learner Web plan, your consortium must have a Learner Web site license. For information about obtaining a site license or to find out if your consortium has one, contact mnlearnerweb@gmail.com.

Course Description: Includes career exploration and goal setting, basic medical terminology, basic body systems, office communication skills and soft skills.

Duration: Approximately 20 hours of self-study

Curriculum Description: Learning activities include reading overviews, viewing videos, referencing vocabulary lists, and practicing the content in a variety of ways. Each unit ends with an assessment to check comprehension/retention of information.

Curriculum Pluses: Best used to augment a face-to-face bridge class (though can also be used by a student not enrolled in a class). Allows for independent study to reinforce course content. Resources teach concepts, provide practice and assess learning. Builds skills for website navigation and independent online learning. Several transition skills are addressed. Instructors may find many of the resources valuable for use in class as well.

Curriculum Drawbacks: Course overview and objectives are not provided for the learner. Navigation of Learner Web can be difficult for the independent learner until familiar with the platform. Career exploration section would require instructor assistance in how to use the online tools provided.
