Purpose: To strengthen partnerships between Adult Education and two-year colleges so underprepared adult learners experience seamless transitions, comprehensive support, and greater success in postsecondary education. 

The Affinity Group meetings bring together ABE educators, college faculty, deans, and administrators. Through collaborative discussions, participants explore effective partnership strategies that support student success and strengthen local connections between Adult Basic Education and MinnState. 

Join us for three Affinity Group meetings throughout the year- one each in the fall, winter, and spring. To provide flexibility, each meeting is offered twice: Thursday at 2:00 pm and Friday at 10:00 am. Register for the session that works best for you. Meeting Topics may include:

• Updates from ATLAS contractors, guest speakers and meeting participants
• Transitioning from developmental education to co-requisite models
• Multiple Measures and Self-Guided Placement: policy updates and local implementation practices
• Updates from the Impact Grant: Building Bridges for Student Success: Enhancing Partnerships Between MinnState and Adult Basic Education
• Emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities
