Afghan History, Culture and Language and the Adult Education Classroom
October 13, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am CDT FreeRegistration Deadline: THU. 10/13/22
Hundreds of refugees from Afghanistan now call Minnesota home and many have shown up in adult education classrooms around the state. Join this session to gain essential background knowledge in order to intersect your own culture with that of Afghan learners. The session will include information on Afghan history, culture, language and life in the US. Participants will also reflect on how they can apply this new knowledge to their work with Afghan adult education students.
By the Afghan Cultural Society of Minnesota in collaboration with Literacy Minnesota.
