Phonics is a crucial part of becoming a reader, yet many adult ESL learners lack sufficient decoding skills to be able to sound out and recognize new words, and don’t get adequate phonics instruction in their beginning level classes. Learn phonics activities to help learners with blending, segmenting, and developing phonemic awareness skills. Participants will leave with multiple activities and suggestions for making phonics relevant and engaging to learners.
