ATLAS CEU Policy
This policy is in accordance with the overall CEU policies of the Minnesota Adult Education professional development (PD) system, as of January 2025. Rare exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Events and Webinars
Events (regionals and statewide conferences), standalone webinars, and webinar series with associated evaluation forms have CEUs embedded in the evaluation for that event; they are downloadable from the Thank You page after submitting the evaluation. CEU certificates are only available through filling out the online evaluation, which will remain open for a period of 3 weeks after the event. After that time, these CEUs are not available to participants and replacements will not be provided. IMPORTANT: It is the practitioner’s responsibility to collect and manage their own CEUs for relicensure.
Longer Term PD
CEU certificates for cohort-based/longer term PD, study circles, online courses, and most advisory teams are provided at the end of the activity or fiscal year, based on participation and/or completion of required tasks. These activities entail more work and a larger number of CEUs. ATLAS will replace lost CEU certificates for ABE Foundations courses (which are required per state PD policy) as well as longer term activities that are worth 15 CEUs or more, for a period of 5 years.
Specific Sessions
ATLAS is not able to provide session-specific CEUs for sessions that are part of larger events. Educators are encouraged to save the event flyer (and their registration confirmation, if they wish) for inclusion with the materials they submit for relicensure, with the sessions they attended indicated on the flyer. Most ATLAS flyers are available for retrieval in the Event Archive, found under the Event Calendar on the ATLAS website.
