How the Constitution Established our Government
Description of this lesson: This lesson teaches students how the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to establish the U.S. government. Students will learn about the three main Articles of the Constitution and how each one establishes the three branches of government. They will then learn the role of each branch of government and the significance of “Checks and Balances.”
Time: 3 1-hour class periods (*This can be adjusted depending upon whether or not the instructor chooses to do ALL of the activities or not)
Level of students targeted: (NRS level) High Intermediate Basic Education
ABE Level 4—English Language Arts; ELA
