Economics Task
The purpose of this task is for an adult diploma student to demonstrate competency in a fundamental concept in the area of economics: the law of supply and demand. Components of this task are also appropriate for use with GED learners.
In this task, learners will read two texts to build background knowledge. There is a text-dependent question set to accompany each text. Learners will also watch a TED Talk and summarize the speaker’s main points. Finally, learners will write a business plan in which they apply what they have learned about how supply and demand impacts a business model.
