Modified Phonics Assessment and Testing Copies
This PDF is a modified Minnesota version of Sylvia Greene’s Informal Word Analysis Inventory, Levels I and II. It includes processes for conducting as an individual reading test or group spelling test, a Teacher Copy for scoring, and six Student Copies for testing knowledge of sequential phonics patterns: 1) single consonants, short a and i, digraphs, 2) single consonants, short u, o, e, blends, 4) long and glided vowel teams, 5) silent letters, vowel-r, vowel-l, 6) soft c and g, irregulars, -ed. The modifications may make determination of phonics needs and instructional starting points easier or more efficient.
