ELA Speaking & Listening Task

The purpose of this task is to provide a student an opportunity to demonstrate a key speaking & listening skill at a Level E. Components of this task are also appropriate for use with GED learners.

In this task, learners will work independently to use Aristotle’s three modes of persuasion (ethos, pathos and logos) to analyze a historical speech. The student will then write a rhetorical analysis of their chosen speech.
