Upfront Magazine
Published by The New York Times, Upfront Magazine is a paid subscription periodical that highlights current news and events and offers a wide range of print and online activities that build social studies and language arts knowledge and skills. Published 14 times during the school year, teachers determine the number of print copies needed for their classrooms. Included with the subscription are teacher’s guides with lesson plans, standards correlations, and differentiation tools. In addition, teachers can select from numerous skill-building activity sheets, assessments, and videos that correspond with the articles. Moreover, access to comprehensive digital resources are included to support different learning styles and reading levels. It would be most appropriate for Pre-GED, GED, and Adult Diploma.
