Tools of Algebra: Linear Functions, Part 2
From the CUNY Math Packet
With these materials, students learn the concepts to flexibly create, interpret, and use linear functions.
Part 2 builds on what students learn in Part 1 and investigates the following topics:
- Rate of change (also known as slope) in graphs, tables, and equations
- Starting amount (also known as the y-intercept) in graphs, tables, and equations
- Applying all the concepts learned about linear functions to some real-life situations, including paying bills and tracking medical antibodies
NOTE: Students should complete Tools of Algebra: Linear Functions, Part 1 before working on Part 2.
