Updated TIF Lesson Plans (2023)
The folder linked below (“Open Resource“) contains new example TIF lesson plans for various learner levels, including Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. They were created using a new lesson plan template that was designed in 2023 as part of the TIF 2.0 project – a process aimed at adjusting and enhancing the ACES TIF skills and activities to better align with current teaching contexts, technological realities, and priorities in the field. Many of them were reviewed by a group of ABE practitioners from around the state.
These new sample lessons include ideas for incorporating important topics like DEI (Diversity/Equity/Inclusion) and SEL (Social Emotional Learning), as well as strategies for adapting the lessons to a variety of delivery models such as in-person, virtual, and hybrid.
