Edmentum In the Classroom (with a proxy hours update!)

Student Orientation

Whether you are a teacher, student, or volunteer using the platform, if you are a new user (or even a previous user wanting to brush up on your skills), you can enroll in Edmentum’s Student Orientation. You’ll be able to enroll students in this like any other course.

Course Tutorials

If you aren’t looking for students to complete a whole orientation course, many Edmentum course tutorials now include guided notes or other materials that are easy to download and/or print! These can be found in each tutorial under the folder icon on the left:

While these paper-based materials would NOT be eligible for distance learning proxy hours on their own, they can be used as a supplement to the online tutorials or synchronous instruction. Learners are usually more motivated to complete DL work that is directly related to what they’re working on in class!

Exact Path

Exact Path is an Edmentum feature that provides personalized learning paths to fill skills gaps after learners take a diagnostic assessment. To learn more about Exact Path here is a short overview and a training session (that you can get CEUs for by submitting this form)! If you’re already familiar with Exact Path, check out these new and upcoming features.

Apex

Edmentum is now offering new Apex courses! While Apex used to be a separate platform, you can now access the courses using your Edmentum accounts. From world history to accounting, Apex offers a variety of options that may be suitable for your class or students. You can find information on getting started with Apex or view the Apex course catalog.

Certification Courses

Edmentum offers a variety of courses that can be used to gain different certifications. They offer certifications for the following:

• Nutrition, Food, and Wellness Certification (AAFCS)
• EMR Basic Certification (NREMT)
• Food Handler and Food Manager certifications (NRA ServSafe)

Proxy Hour Reporting Changes
