New On-Demand Equity Training for Volunteers
Literacy Minnesota just made available three more targeted trainings in video format, led by outside facilitators who are experts in their topics. These video sessions fulfill the targeted training requirements of Literacy Minnesota’s Volunteer Foundation Training Certificates, and they also count toward our Equity and Cultural Awareness in Education Certificate. This summer ATLAS is hosting an Antiracist Praxis Study Circle facilitated by Cydnee Sanders, MA TESOL. Learn how to be more than a teacher with good intentions by applying intentional antiracist practices into your adult English classroom. Diversifying Your Image Searches
How can a beginner level ESOL class be made more culturally responsive, when the content and skills we need to cover seem so basic? I realized that in order to embody the values that our field aspires to hold, I needed to figure out how to make them real and tangible in my classroom.
