It’s that time of year again! If you’re working toward teaching license renewal and need CEUs, there are several options designed specifically for adult educators. Whether you prefer live events, recorded sessions, or self-paced courses, there are flexible options that allow you to earn CEUs while engaging in meaningful professional learning relevant to your teaching context.

Need More CEUs? Consider an Online Course
If you need a larger number of CEUs, consider enrolling in one of the self-paced online courses available through ATLAS, Literacy Minnesota, and PANDA. You can earn anywhere from 3-30 CEUs depending on the course.
Browse all self-paced Canvas courses here:
https://mnadulted.instructure.com/search/all_courses
Canvas self-paced course topics include:
- ABE Foundations (required by the state for all new hires – see policy here)
- CCRS Foundations
- ACES Foundations
- Teaching Reading to Adults
- Northstar Foundations
- Suicide Prevention
- Distance & Blended Learning Basics
- The 3 Ls: The Difference between Learning Disability, Low Ability and Low Literacy
- Teaching Students about Mental Health
- Understanding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
A Note About Relicensure
While ATLAS and other supplemental service providers do their best to offer sessions aligned with relicensure areas, final approval of CEUs is granted by local relicensure committees operating in K–12 school districts. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that a particular activity will count toward a specific relicensure category in your district.
For more information about license renewal requirements, see the following resources from the Professional Educator Licensing & Standards Board (PELSB):
Mandatory Renewal Requirements for Tier 3 and Tier 4 Licenses >>
Important note: CEUs are only available to adult educators working within Minnesota.
