Introducing ATLAS Grant & Budget Coordinator Eva Zewdie!

Introducing ATLAS Grant & Budget Coordinator Eva Zewdie!

ATLAS is so pleased to welcome Eva (AY-vuh) Zewdie (ZOH-dee) as its newest staff member! Eva has joined the ATLAS team in a newly created position to manage grant operations and budgeting. She will be taking over these duties from Marisa Squadrito Geisler, who is retiring as ATLAS staff at the end of June and then continuing in a contracted position to handle communications for ATLAS.

Eva brings a wide array of skills and experience to ATLAS. She holds a BA in International Management and German from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and an MBA in International Management and French from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.

Eva began her career in adult education as a volunteer ESL instructor and later served as Program Administrator at the English Learning Center in Minneapolis. Eva has taught adult English language learners in Minneapolis, Hungary, and Albania, and remains deeply engaged in cross-cultural work and refugee support.

Her professional background spans international development, healthcare, philanthropy, and nonprofit operations. Most recently, she served as Donor Services and Data Manager at Alight (formerly the American Refugee Committee). As part of a personal initiative through the Welcome Corps, Eva helped 22 refugee newcomers reach safety and navigate their first 90 days in the U.S., coordinating and guiding 35 volunteers across four neighborhood teams.

At ATLAS, Eva brings her passion for adult learning and systems thinking to support grant, budget, and data management across the team’s work. As ATLAS Grant & Budget Manager, Eva will provide leadership and fulfill responsibilities around budget management and reporting, event data and evaluation, and website forms and data. In addition, she will provide assistance for both in-person and virtual ATLAS events.

Welcome to the team, Eva!  We are delighted that you are joining us to support Minnesota Adult Education.
