EdTech Strategy Sessions

EdTech Strategy Sessions

Monthly EdTech Strategy Sessions offered through World Education provide a rich source of information around distance education and digital learning topics. They provide practical strategies and innovative approaches around the use of educational technology and the implementation of digital inclusion in education.

Sessions are held at noon CDT on the second Friday of each month. The November 8 session will focus on using edtech tools to support English language acquisition, especially for specific occupations (sponsored by Ellii).

Topics for future sessions this year include:

  • Supporting educators with increasing their digital literacy skills and comfort with using ed tech tools to increase learner engagement
  • Incorporating artificial intelligence into lesson planning and instructional activities
  • Looking at different ways to offer instruction for learners or PD for educators including: microlearning, digital badges and learning pathways, and HyFlex
  • Ensuring access to digital education tools, internet, and resources to improve skill building, especially for those with limited English language skills or digital literacy skills

Each EdTech Strategy session includes two lightning talks, and a breakout room for small group discussion. Specific topics for each date will be available at the  EdTech website, with registration links here. The sessions are free.
