Build Your Virtual Classroom Skills at TechChat Webinars

Looking to refine your virtual classroom technology skills? Come TechChat!

Once a month through June, we will be offering TechChat webinars. Each TechChat session will be led by a Minnesota Adult Education teacher. They will provide an overview of a specific technology tool, talk about how they have used it in their virtual classrooms, and provide an opportunity for practice and questions. Sessions are free and CEUs are available.

February’s TechChat will focus on using Jamboard, a free virtual whiteboard where people can work collaboratively. A great option for teachers, Jamboard allows you to present as you teach, give students an interactive place to work together, and assign things for students to complete asynchronously. The session will be led by St. Paul ABE teacher Kris Klas.

March’s session will focus on using Flipgrid, a great free website that allows teachers and students to interact by creating and sharing short videos. The session will be facilitated by NW Service Cooperative ABE teacher Chrysti Nielson and Literacy Minnesota’s Susan Wetenkamp-Brandt.

Registration is now open for all upcoming TechChat sessions! Registration information is also available in the ATLAS events calendar.

Interested in attending one of the webinars but can’t make it fit into your schedule? Not to worry! Each session will be recorded and made available afterwards so no one misses out.
