Three Great Pronunciation Video Resources for Teachers and Students

Three Great Pronunciation Video Resources for Teachers and Students

As a field, we’re so fortunate to have a wide variety of learning resources available to students, and the options for professional development for ABE teachers continue to grow. Of course, teaching and learning topics are not all represented equally, and pronunciation is one that has the least available amount of resources, even though it’s an area that students are highly interested in.

This is where the ATLAS ESL resource library comes in! The pronunciation section has great resources for helping teachers to develop their instructional skills, as well as ones for learners to access independently outside of the classroom. Here are three video resources to dig into right away.

Adult ESL Pronunciation Activities Videos

Teachers who are interested in developing their classroom instructional skills will find six different videos of pronunciation classes that feature teachers delivering integrated pronunciation instruction in beginning and intermediate adult ESL classrooms.

Some of the topics covered include word stress, intonation, and voice quality settings. These videos are a great way to watch pronunciation teaching in action and have immediate activity ideas.
