EdTech Integration Strategy Toolkit

The EdTech Integration Strategy Toolkit is a searchable collection of instructional routines and strategies created and shared by adult educators. The routines integrate educational technologies and digital skill building into core content classroom instruction, either in-person or online.

Digital Access & Resilience in Texas (DART)

Digital Access and Resilience in Texas (DART) is a foundational digital literacy curriculum for beginning English learners that incorporates digital literacy skills, foundational print literacy skills, and conceptual understanding of basic digital literacy topics, beginning with letter recognition and keyboard knowledge through going online, searching the internet, and using email. All 20 units and their instructional resources are available to download for free either separately or as a complete document.

English Learner Digital Essential Skills (ELDES)

The ELDES curriculum is designed to support adult English learners who are building their vocabulary, language skills and conceptual understanding of foundational digital literacy topics. The complete 7-unit curriculum is available for download in English and Spanish, and a Somali-language video version is also available.

NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment

The Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment is a self-guided, online set of assessments that show an individual’s ability to perform basic computer skills in seven skill area areas: Basic Computer Use, Internet, Windows OS/Mac OS, Email, Word Processing (using Microsoft Word), Social Media, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ventures Online Activities

This website provides free online activities to supplement the Ventures Series. Learners can practice grammar and vocabulary activities that support align with the units in the Ventures student books.

Learning Chocolate

This learner-based website contains lists of technology-based vocabulary words that learners can listen to, then check their understanding with matching, fill-in-the-blank, and dictation games.

LINCS ESL Pro Module 2: Integrating Digital Literacy into Adult English Language Instruction

This self-paced professional development module from LINCS is designed for teachers and administrators interested in integrating digital literacy in their classes and programs for adult English Language Learners.

DigitalLearn

This site is a collection of self-directed tutorials for users to increase their digital literacy. Modules are video-based with narration, 6 to 22 minutes long, written at the fourth grade reading level.

CTEP Digital Homeroom

This website contains extensive vocabulary lists along with videos and interactive lessons on computer basics, Microsoft Word, email and internet at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.

BeCALM (Beginning Curriculum for Adults Learning Math) grew out of CALM and is designed for adult students who need math instruction at GLE 2-4 (CCRS B/C). CALM (Curriculum for Adults Learning Math)

CALM (Curriculum for Adults Learning Math) is a CCRS-aligned curriculum (written for adult learners by adult learning experts) that is designed to build strong conceptual understanding of core math concepts through visual models that spark dialogue and give teachers insight into student’s reasoning.
