Course Description: This course prepares Intermediate and Advanced ELLs for the MN Driver’s Permit test with targeted English language practice. Learners will build vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills using the MN Driver’s Manual, and gain the confidence and knowledge needed to pass the exam.

Duration: 16 units, 4 hours/unit = 64 total instructional hours

Curriculum Materials/Description: The curriculum in the linked Google Drive folder contains 16 units with full lesson plans and materials, as well as some introductory documents to help with planning the course. Instructors will need access to a printer and projector, and they will need to work with DVS to schedule permit tests for learners enrolled in the course after they have completed all of the units.
