Wisc-Online

Wisc-Online is a repository of high-quality educational resources that are free for learners and teachers. It includes over 2,500 learning objects (such as assessments, animations, and templates) for topics ranging from language arts to career clusters, to manufacturing, to math. It can be used in the classroom or independently by learners.

Contextualized Food Manager Certificate Unit

This contextualized curriculum is designed for students to learn content to obtain the state-issued food safety manager certificate. The course focuses on the areas of basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination & allergens, time and temperature, and cleaning and sanitation.

This site hosts resources in all content areas. Some of the materials are taken from K-12, but they are all framed and explored in the context of adult education classrooms. The site is divided into four main parts: Resource Reviews (by and for ABE instructors); Framework Posts (lessons, problems, activities, & readings organized by HSE subjects, domains & subdomains); Math Memos (addressing non-routine math problems); and Career Posts (activities and supplementary materials for the NYSED/CUNY CareerKits).

Reading Skills for Healthcare Workers – ESL

A free online Career Pathway literacy curriculum based on CNA and general healthcare content, including 175 selections for intermediate-level readers between 5.5 and 8.5 grade levels.

Preparing English Learners for Work and Career Pathways

This suite of resources, which includes an issue brief, an interactive, self-paced, online module, and a practice-oriented companion resource, offers tools, practical ideas, and hands-on strategies for educators who help adult ELLs in preparing for work or training in career pathways.

LINCS ESL Pro Module 3: Preparing English Learners for Work and Career Pathways

This self-paced professional development module from LINCS provides the foundational concepts related to designing and implementing an adult ELA program contextualized for career pathways.
